Some policies apply and are enforced by some employees and some are not. The course of study shall be reviewed and updated at least once every five years. Even the ones they do have are not enforced consistently across departments. For this to be the largest school district in the state of Texas, you would think there would be better policies, practices, and procedures in place. It is an embarrassment to our education system and a disservice to the students. It is mind-blowing to see how poorly things are executed and managed by this school district. The HISD board can't seem to work with one another more often than not, the board meetings are nothing less than a screaming, fighting, unorganized mess.

There is no consistency rules, regulations, policies, and procedures change non-stop. Unethical practices are demonstrated by senior leadership. One of the most challenging and political places to work.
